Blowhole, Dirk Hartog Island
I was lucky enough to be on Dirk Hartog Island, Western Australia, on a day with considerable storm swell, to capture it's famous blowhole erupting almost 40m into the air. Accompanied by the roar of a jet engine, spray flew high above the edge of the cliff on the Island's western edge. The caretaker exclaimed he hadn't ever seen the fissure erupt so spectacularly in his entire time on the island. A truly breathtaking and raw spectacle of nature.
